How I can help you move forward

Thirty years of walking alongside individuals, couples, and families has shaped how I see people: where they get stuck, and what it actually takes to move. These are the places I know best.

For You

Individuals

One-on-one coaching for personal challenges that affect how you live, work, and relate to others.

  • Feeling overwhelmed or stuck in worry
  • Stress that’s affecting your health and relationships
  • Seasons of sadness or depression
  • Navigating grief and loss
  • Struggling to believe you have real value
  • Anger that’s hurting the people around you
  • Finding direction in a major life transition

Most people who reach out aren’t broken. They’re stuck. We work until the weight lifts enough that you can move again, and until you trust yourself to keep moving.

If anxiety or stress is part of what you’re carrying, the Rest & Work tool explores a framework I come back to often in this kind of work.

For Two or More

Couples & Families

Helping partners and families build the skills and trust that make life together work.

  • Learning to actually hear each other
  • Parenting through hard seasons
  • Breaking out of the same old arguments
  • Functioning as a team instead of opponents
  • Building healthier patterns together
  • Finding a way through to forgiveness

The goal isn’t a perfect relationship. It’s learning to be on the same team again, building the habits that make that last.

For Growth

Life Coaching

For those who aren’t necessarily in crisis but want to grow, in their relationships, faith, habits and inner life.

  • Growing as a whole person: body, mind, emotions & spirit
  • Building deeper, more meaningful relationships
  • Exploring questions of meaning, purpose, and faith
  • Understanding how your thoughts shape your life
  • Shifting from reaction to intention
  • Getting clear on your priorities and actually living them
  • Discovering and owning your real worth and value

You already know more about what you need than you think. We work until you can act on it consistently, not just when motivation is high.

For those working on habits and follow-through, Resistance & Turning Pro maps the inner force that keeps us from the work we most need to do, and what it looks like to move anyway.

The Process

Structure is what turns a good conversation into lasting change.

Most sessions start with whatever’s most pressing for you. But there’s always a framework underneath, tools I’ve used in my own life and refined over decades of work with clients.

One I come back to constantly is the Learning Circle, a six-step process for turning any meaningful moment into something you can actually act on. Most people have insights they never do anything with. The circle is how we change that.

For individuals, we often explore the Belief Assessment early on, a set of statements drawn from Albert Ellis’s research that surfaces the hidden assumptions quietly shaping how you think and feel. Most people are surprised by what comes up.

For couples and families, the Levels of Differentiation gives us a shared language for the patterns that are hardest to see from inside the relationship.

These tools don’t replace the conversation. They sharpen it. All six are in the Toolbox if you want to explore before we meet.

The Relationship

Coaching works because of what builds over time.

Most clients meet weekly or bi-weekly. Each session picks up where the last one left off. I’m tracking what we’ve covered, what you’ve tried, and what’s still unresolved. You don’t have to re-explain yourself every time we meet.

The accountability piece isn’t a concept from a framework. It’s built into the relationship itself. When you know someone who understands your situation is going to ask how it went, you show up differently for your own life. That’s not pressure. It’s partnership.

Over time I get to know how you think, what tends to hold you back, and what actually moves you forward. That context is what makes the work deepen. The longer we work together, the more useful I can be.
